Queen Victoria School, the oldest operating school in Belleville, located on the east side of the Moira River, serves approximately 250 students from Kindergarten to Grade 6.
Facilities include a library resource centre with computer lab and a well-equipped resource room. The shaded, spacious playground has equipment for all ages. At QVS, we promote respect. Our motto, “Respect…Give it! Get it!” assists students in developing an appreciation and understanding of one another's differences. Growing with Character is a valued part of the curriculum and celebrated monthly with a Terrific Kid and Character Assembly and during Bullying Prevention Week and Random Act of Kindness Week. The school works to promote home and school partnerships with parental involvement in the Community Terry Fox Walk, Open House BBQ, Breakfast Club, Kindergarten welcome program, our annual Holiday Feast, pancake breakfast, and so much more. School information is delivered through digital newsletters on our website and Facebook. QVS is also home to the Primary and Junior Adventure Class programs.
Students proceed to Queen Elizabeth School in Belleville for Grade 7 and 8.
